Peace!Good news, we are bringing back the Let’s Read The Quran Campaign this Bulan Puasa.

Campaign name: Let’s Read The Quran (2)

Logo/icon: As the above

During the first campaign (January 14 – February 14 2009) there were four friends Syed, Walski, Marina and Anas who got together in the campaign and about 50 blogs participated helping us reach a larger audience.

This time around, four more friends will be part of the main team; they are Art Harun, Jahamy, Pah Nur and Nizam Bashir.

To recap, the campaign is not only for Muslims, but also for our brothers and sisters who are Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs and those who believe in God and a proper way of doing things – come join us and share your ideas! You can join this campaign even if you are an atheist!

The goal of this campaign is to encourage people to read the Quran in the language they understand most and find in it areas of common value for our day to day living.

We also want to hear your feedback and comments.

What is the Campaign all about?

  1. You were right about the 'bus' , you were right about an-Nisa and precisely true about Ayub,Noh,Muhamad,Sulaiman,Ibrahim,Zakaria and Shuib.

Perhaps this campaign far too simple comparing to what you and Syed Akhbar did ...although my stand on certain related topic remains the same...but you were right and this campaign is cool!

I think what you did with Syed was measurable and directive, would it be awesome if you choose to repeat the history rather than casually support it ?

Generally speaking, scholar must admit that most people hardly seek pleasure and understanding through reading but they do love to listen and write.

What you did in our recent meeting is brilliant.Your approach on Quran indeed hilariously 'selamba' yet promoting curiosity.

I'm the worse sponge ever, and you have better me through sharing not teaching.

    Thank you.

  2. niasara,

Selamat berpuasa. I think I can imagine what you went though with jahamy. he can be very nonchalant when discussing the Quran and yet I know he is passionate about it.

I recall those days when I get invited to eat in of the Quran reader's houses - absolutely no 'religious pressure'. just lots of sharing while truly getting the jemaah spirit. Syed Akbar Ali and one other guy Manan were very helpful, always ready to guide me to the relevant surahs. I think they succeed in at least getting me to be interested in the Quran and actually embrace Islam because they had no campaign - they were just sharing the message and left it to me. They had no hidden agendas other than sharing the words of the Quran.
