The MCA Egm today came with with shocker. Datuk Seri Ong Tee Kiat was indeed very brave to go ahead with the resolutions, including the one that allowed the delegates to pass a vote of no confidence against him.
Indeed, by a margin f 14 votes, they voted no confidence in his leadership. This must come as a shocker to many, including me. I am sad as I know the man personally and I think he has done very well in his leadership. He is a multi-racial leader and very proactive in his actions. With this vote, it is left to see whether he will continue to lead the MCA as according to the party constitution, only two-thirds votes can remove the party President.
Chua Soi Lek is also not voted back in to the post.
The question is: who is this new "Third Force" in MCA and can it help consolidate Barisan Nasional?
Whatever the results, I salute your brother OTK for your willingness to walk your talk! Now, that is leadership!
